Anyone else watch it today?
I caught the Inaguration itself and (of course) the Presidents speech.
A little bit of the parade too.
All in all it looked like they did it up right!

An absolute colossal waste of manpower and resources!!
Totally self serving, over the top, waste of time, money, and effort.
I watched 0% of it and still feel like I was slimed by its grandiosity.
Ugh!

Quick question Jumper.
Would you feel the same way if it had been kerry's inauguration?
Just wondering.

Absolutely Greg. It isn't about the man per ce it's about the "look at me" mentality. Just because a person is elected president doesn't mean we have to have a public "kiss his ass" display from everyone who hopes to curry favor or access from him at some point in the future. I would have a lot more respect if the president elect said, "you know what folks, we have a lot of work to do and I don't have time to waste on fluff"
Let me hear that and I'll vote for the man!

That's what I figured, just wanted to make sure that I understood your point correctly.
I'm sure that many actually feel that way about it.
